Peter Bryans is an Investment Analyst within the Investment Management Department (IMD). Peter performs investment research for both the Wealth Management and Institutional divisions of the firm. Prior to joining MCF, he worked for over three years as an analyst and trader for a small investment research firm in Cincinnati, OH. Peter graduated with an undergraduate degree in Finance from The Ohio State University and is also a CFA Charterholder. As a Cincinnati native, Peter enjoys being back in his hometown and spending time with his wife, family, and friends and, of course, rooting for his beloved Buckeyes.

As Retirement Plan Administrator, Clare works with the institutional plans, specifically their demographic reporting, plan design analysis, and benchmarking for current and prospective clients. Clare joined the team in 2017 and is located at the Lexington office.
Prior to MCF Advisors, Clare was an Audit Staff Accountant at a Public Accounting Firm, from 2014-2017. Clare earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2015 from Northern Kentucky University.
Clare was an active member of Delta Gamma Fraternity and is a part of their Alumnae Chapter. She is originally from Northern Kentucky, but currently resides in Georgetown, KY. When she is not working, Clare enjoys going to the gym, and spending time with friends and family.

Terri Carl began her career at MCF Advisors, LLC in 2007 and currently serves as an Insurance Administrator and Personal Assistant to Robert Sathe. Terri has been a Resident Agent for the state of Kentucky for Life Insurance since 2013. Terri attended NFP School of Excellence for Underwriting and completed 2014-2015 Academy of Life Underwriting 101 with distinction. Prior to MCF, Terri worked in orthopedic nursing as a Registered Nurse for seven years.

Chris Cochran joined MCF 15 years ago. Chris is a Senior Consultant specializing in insurance. Prior to joining MCF, Chris represented Massachusetts Mutual, Union Central, Connecticut Mutual and US Financial Life as agent, Vice President of Agencies performing sales, marketing, recruiting, training and product design functions. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Kentucky and is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Registered Health Underwriter (RHU).Chris resides in Fairfield, Ohio with his wife Debbie. Chris and Debbie have seven children and are proud grandparents of 16 grandchildren. Chris is actively involved in community organizations including founder of the Jane Martin Cochran Memorial Fund serving Kenton (N KY) County Schools, the Catholic Inter-City Services Education Committee and was Chairman of the Greater Cincinnati Gideon Bible Blitz for Cincinnati/N. Scott Downing, CFP®
is a Financial Advisor based in MCF’s Lexington office. He joined MCF in 2015. Prior to that, Scott worked for another independent financial planning firm in Lexington. Scott began his financial services career in 2006 with Vanguard at their corporate headquarters in Malvern, PA where he worked in the High Net-Worth Retirement division. Scott graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
Scott is originally a native of Maysville, KY, but now makes his home in the Hamburg area of Lexington. His wife Allison is a native of St. Louis, MO, and she works as a teacher at The Lexington School. They have a son and a daughter who are twins.
Scott is Board President for The Lexington Dream Factory, a graduate of Leadership Lexington, Past Chair of Leadership Lexington Alumni Association, board member of the UK Fayette County Alumni Association, and an active member and volunteer at Southland Christian Church. Since joining MCF in 2008, Tim has consistently served clients in various service roles throughout his tenure. As Director of Operations and Chief Compliance Officer, he oversees the firm’s day-to-day operations and compliance functions. His daily focus is integrating business processes and organizational strategies which promote the best service offering for our clients.
Tim is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and continues to work with clients to develop, implement, and monitor their financial plans. He is also a member of the firm's Executive Investment Committee.
He attended the University of Cincinnati, where he earned a B.B.A in Finance & Accounting (’08) and a M.B.A (’13). While an undergrad at UC, he participated in the Co-op program, enjoying time with Fifth Third Bank as a Staff Financial Auditor and later with the Sisters of Mercy, where he focused on the organization’s endowment and public debt offering.

Lacy Gardner serves as the Marketing Specialist at MCF. In her role, Lacy handles the marketing needs for the firm and functions as the executive administrative assistant to Dave Harris. Lacy started with MCF in January 2016 and is located in the Lexington office. Prior to MCF, Lacy spent four years working in Orlando, Florida at Universal Orlando Resort and Walt Disney World. While at Universal Orlando Resort, she worked in the marketing department and ran 128 events annually at Walt Disney World.
Lacy earned a Bachelor of the Arts in Political Science in 2012 from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. She married Brandon Gardner in August of 2020. Lacy is a member of Lexington's Junior League. Lacy is an active member of Southland Christian Church and is a proud supporter of the University of Kentucky Wildcats.

Dawn Gilliland began her career at MCF in 2019 and serves as a Client Associate in the Covington, KY. Office. Dawn attended Northern Kentucky University where she was a cheerleader for the basketball team.
Dawn lives in Florence with her husband and two children Andrew and Emma. Her husband Mike recently retired from the military after 20 years of service and currently works for the City of Covington as a Police Officer. Dawn and her family are also parishioners at St. Timothy Church in Union, KY.

Jeff Jennings is a Certified Financial PlannerTM and Shareholder based in MCF’s Lexington office. Prior to joining MCF, Jeff worked for two of the big four national brokerage houses. He stress tested retirement cash flow models for private clients and recommended appropriate risk strategies. He analyzed investment classes, market trends, and specific sector and industry strength. Prior to that, Jeff accessed and quantified risk for institutional clients in a legal capacity. Jeff graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the University Of Kentucky College Of Law and an undergraduate degree in economics.
Jeff is a member of the Bluegrass Estate Planning Council, American Bar Association, Trust, Taxation & Probate Sections of the Kentucky Bar, Thoroughbred Club of America, United States Tennis Association & Cave Run Sailing Association. Kris Kellinghaus serves as Director of Investments, Chief Investment Officer and is a Shareholder of MCF Advisors, LLC. Kris is the head of the Investment Management Department and leads the Executive Investment Committee in developing MCF’s capital market outlook and investment program. He oversees all aspects of portfolio management and research, including asset allocation, due diligence, security selection, risk management, and implementation. Prior to joining MCF, Kris worked for investment firms in Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati as an investment advisor and associate portfolio manager.
Kris is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Charterholder, and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional. Sean Lamanna is a Certified Financial Planner™ based in MCF’s Lexington office. Brittany has been with MCF Advisors since August of 2012 after three years in the public accounting industry, working with individuals and small businesses in the Lexington and surrounding areas. Brittany serves as MCF’s Director of Wealth Management Services and Shareholder. Brittany works in the Wealth Management division, assisting clients and consultants in the development and maintenance of holistic financial plans. In addition to her work in the financial planning process, Brittany serves as the firm’s internal accountant, overseeing all the firm’s finances.
Prior to joining MCF, Brittany began her career as an Accounting and Compliance Specialist with Dean Dorton Allen Ford PLLC. Nancy Martin, FPQP™ began her career with MCF in 2002 and currently serves as a Senior Client Associate in the Covington, Kentucky office. Prior to MCF, Nancy worked as an administrative assistant. Before that, Nancy was a Phlebotomist at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Nancy attended Northern Kentucky University. In her spare time, Nancy enjoys fostering dogs & puppies for the Stray Animal Adoption Program.
Dr. McNabb, Ph.D., CFA, has worked on tax and investment issues for individuals and institutions over twenty years. Mark is a CFA Charterholder and has published review cases on portfolio allocation for both the national and local societies of the CFA Institute. He earned his doctorate in finance at the University of Texas at Austin while studying financially distressed firm restructurings. He also has a Masters in Taxation from the University of Virginia and has served high net worth clients at a Big Four accounting firm.
When not working on allocation issues and economic forecasts, Dr. McNabb is a Visiting Assoc. Professor at Bucknell University where he focuses on investments and portfolio management. He is also a member of the Strategic Advisory Council for the North Carolina Society of CFAs.

Mardie Murray serves as a Client Associate in the Wealth Management division at MCF Advisors. Mardie started with MCF in July 2019 and is located in the Lexington, Kentucky office. Mardie is committed to delivering an exceptional service experience, assisting both clients and consultants with the maintenance of accounts and any portfolio servicing needs.

Nicholas, CFA, FRM® is an Investment Analyst and Trader that joined MCF in 2017. As part of the Investment Management Department, he is responsible for rebalancing and strategy implementation for institutional and wealth management client portfolios. He also performs portfolio and investment research, including asset allocation, due diligence, security selection, and risk management. He comprises part of the Executive Investment Committee which is responsible for MCF’s investment outlook and investment program.

Hunter serves as a Consultant with MCF. Within his role at MCF, Hunter leads clients in both the Wealth Management and Institutional Divisions. He studied Business Administration and Communications at Georgetown College and was a 4 year football starter during his time there. After graduating in 1999, he worked for locally owned bank, where he held many roles from the insurance sales to commercial lending. His service with the bank ended after 10 years as a Vice President of Lending and Relationships where he managed over $70 million in relationships for the bank. In 2009, he joined wealthMD Corp as a full time Investment Advisor Representative and eventually VP of Investments, from late 2009 through July of 2015, when he left to join the team at MCF. He is active in leading clients by developing strategies, comprehensive financial planning and client education.
Hunter lives in Lexington with his wife of 17 years, Amanda who is a Registered Dietician who owns her own business consulting people from all over the country on nutrition and exercise. They have two children Tyler and Molly Hunter. He serves several nonprofit organizations such as Aiden’s Angels (Board Member), Lakeview Estates Lake Association (Board Member), The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation amongst others. His family attends Crossroads Christian Church. He also enjoys outdoor activities, golf, hunting and fishing as well coaching youth sports.

As Director of Institutional Services and Shareholder Alyssa delivers consultative guidance and support to over 50 institutional plan sponsor clients. In her role, Alyssa provides support in areas of fiduciary compliance (DOL and ERISA), plan design and benchmarking, vendor management, regulatory updates and leads participant engagement initiatives.
Alyssa holds certifications as a Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist, CRPS® and a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor, CPFA®. She joined MCF in 2013 and is located in the Lexington, Kentucky office. Robert B. Sathe, CLU, ChFc® is Chairman of MCF . Prior to founding MCF, Bob was the Regional Chief Executive Officer for CIGNA Financial Advisors. He was with CIGNA for 30 years before retiring in the year 2000.
Bob has served on many boards in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky including Playhouse in the Park, Carnegie Arts Center, Thomas Moore College, Thomas Moore College Foundation, Cincinnati Ballet, Fine Arts Institute, Fine Arts Annual Fund, Metropolitan Club, Coldstream Country Club, Cancer Family Care, Boy Scouts, Red Cross, Bethesda Hospitals, MMC, INC., CPX Family of Companies, Executive Committee for the Institute for Religious Liberty and was a Founder of The Bank of Kentucky.In 1992, he received his Honorary Doctorate from Thomas More College for his work while on the board. He has also been recognized with the Dorothy Wood Community Service Award by Redwood School, Barbara Roe Lang Special Service Award by Cancer Family Care, the Bishop Hughes Award for his contribution to Catholic higher education in Kentucky and the Presidents' Award by his alma mater Luther College. Natalie attended the University of Kentucky where she earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Accounting. Upon graduating, she worked at Deloitte Tax in Cincinnati, Ohio for two years as a Tax Associate. She moved back to her hometown in Lexington and continued to practice in public accounting by joining Dean Dorton’s tax group. During her nine years at Dean Dorton, Natalie provided tax compliance and accounting services for clients in various industries with a specialization in estates and trusts.
Natalie sits on the Board of the Central Kentucky Planned Giving Council and the Bluegrass Estate Planning Council. She is a Mentor through University of Kentucky’s Women Business Leaders Program, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a member of the Accounting Career Opportunities Committee through the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants and a volunteer for the Shepherd’s House. Stephen A. Wright, CFP®, CRPC® is an Advisor at MCF Advisors in the Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky office. Steve joined the firm in 2017 and has over 20 years of experience in serving clients.
Prior to MCF Steve was Assistant Vice President at Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley in the wealth management division. In 2005 Steve achieved the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and in 2008, through the College for Financial Planning, earned the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM certification.
Steve graduated from Thomas More College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with an emphasis in Finance. While at Thomas More College he studied globalization in Australia. After graduating, Steve served as the secretary, then president of the Alumni Board of Directors for Thomas More College. Currently, Steve sits on the Board of Directors for two local non-profits.
