Kristopher J. Kellinghaus, CFA®, CAIA®, CFP®

Kris is the Chief Investment Officer and a Partner at MCF, based in our Covington office. He leads the firm’s Investment Management Department and chairs the Executive Investment Committee, guiding MCF’s capital market outlook and investment strategy. Kris oversees all aspects of portfolio management and research, including asset allocation, due diligence, security selection, and risk management.

Prior to joining MCF, Kris held investment advisory and portfolio management roles at firms in Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati. He holds a B.S. in Finance from Northern Kentucky University, an MBA in Finance from Xavier University, and an M.A. in Applied Economics from the University of Cincinnati. He is a CFA® Charter holder, a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA®), and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

Kris has served on the board of the Kentucky Public Employees’ Deferred Compensation Plan since 2020 and currently acts as Chairman. He is also an adjunct professor of Finance at Northern Kentucky University. Kris lives in Northern Kentucky with his wife, Kristen, and their children. In his free time, he enjoys coaching, volunteering, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.
