MCF Advisors Announces Leadership Promotions of Tim Gavin and Mardie Murray

LEXINGTON, KY – MCF Advisors, LLC (MCF) is pleased to announce the promotions of two individuals within the firm. Timothy A. Gavin, MBA, CFP ®, will be expanding his role and has been named MCF’s Chief Strategy Officer. As CSO, Tim will be responsible for shaping, executing, and sustaining the long-term strategic direction of the firm. 

As a team member for the past 18 years and a Partner for the last nine, Tim has been an integral part of MCF’s success. In his expanded role, he will further his impact on the firm’s growth strategies, technology initiatives, and the development of new services and investment capabilities, while continuing to serve as MCF’s Chief Compliance Officer. 

Tim joined MCF in 2008 and has held many positions within the organization. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, he also serves on the firm’s Executive Investment Committee. He holds a BBA in Finance & Accounting and an MBA from the University of Cincinnati. Tim lives in Louisville with his wife and son. 

The firm has also promoted Mardie H. Murray to Director of Partnership Integration. Mardie will support MCF’s growth strategy by overseeing the integration of the operations, clients and employees of new partner firms onto MCF’s platform. 

Mardie has been with the firm for seven years and was named a Partner in 2024. She has been instrumental in building the firm’s infrastructure to bring on new partner firms. As the primary point of contact for acquired firms, she works closely with advisors, operational teams, and stakeholders to ensure seamless, thoughtful transitions. Mardie previously focused her time on delivering an exceptional experience for clients of MCF. 

 Mardie holds a B.A. in Integrated Strategic Communications from the University of Kentucky and resides in Lexington with her husband and two children.
